Combined peel
Trichloroacetic acid 20% + phenol 10%
Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) acts on skin proteins to trigger keratocoagulation, which is manifested by the appearance of secondary frost on the skin. This action renews the epidermis and stimulates fibroblast activity responsible for synthesizing the various macromolecules of the extracellular matrix (structural glycosaminoglycans and proteoglycans), reorganizing collagen and elastin fibers and improving the physiological and mechanical properties of the skin.
Phenol or carbolic acid acts as a proteocoagulant, rupturing desmosomes, cell structures that help bind skin cells together, causing cells to slough off. It denatures proteins, inactivates enzymes and increases permeability of the cell membrane. It stimulates collagen fiber synthesis, helping to increase elasticity and regenerate skin
