On October 15 and 16 the first edition of the mesoestetic global meeting was held, a pioneering event in Spain organized by the mesoestetic Pharma Group, to discuss the synergies that exist between professional beauty and aesthetic medicine sectors.

The event, held at the Hotel Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos I in Barcelona, was attended by 200 professional aestheticians from over 30 cities, who received training, information and the resources needed to meet the challenges of a sector in the midst of transformation.  The event featured the participation of renowned aesthetic medicine specialists, dermatologists, cosmetic surgeons, and experts on diet and nutrition, as well as on marketing and coaching, who covered a wide range of topics with a high level of scientific and training expertise.

The central theme of the encounter was to emphasize the fundamental role of aesthetics professionals in the preparation, optimization and maintenance of medical aesthetic treatments. In this context, mesoestetic designed and created beauty concept by mesoestetic, a state-of-the-art aesthetic center that showed the attendees how the world of aesthetic medicine and professional beauty treatments can be integrated in the same space.

Dr. Mikel García Gorría began the presentations by addressing the importance of image and the halo effect in our society. More technical in nature were the lectures by Dr. Enrique Lorenta and Dr. Nélida Grande on aesthetic services that help improve the results of medical-aesthetic and surgical treatments. Dr. Mari Cruz Domingo, in turn, explained the criteria for choosing electro-medical and electro-aesthetic equipment. Dr. Esteve Darwich and Dr. David Romero of the Epidermos Institute described the treatment of acne, while skin blemishes were the subject of a round table discussion with Dr. Montse Sabán, Dr. Fernando Galcerán and Mónica Collell, mesoestetic’s technical adviser. Dr. Raquel Nogués, an expert on diet and nutrition at Teknon Medical Center, gave a talk that revolved around the influence of nutraceuticals in aesthetic treatments. The former coach of the Barcelona handball team, Xesco Espar, explained how to maintain passion and motivation to achieve major goals. Lastly, Samuel Diosdado, of the well-known Instimed aesthetic clinic in Madrid, recommended marketing strategies for successfully creating a profitable reference center based on his personal experience.

In addition, the attendees were able to sample delicious cocktails prepared with the drinkable nutraceuticals from the mesoestetic anti-aging line radiance DNA elixircollagen 360º elixir and ultimate W+ whitening elixir at an original Beauty Bar set up for the occasion.
