In summer, with the higher temperatures, many people, especially women, find their legs feeling more tired and swollen. This happens because the heat and the atmospheric pressure prevents blood circulation from functioning perfectly.

We at mesoestetic would like to give you some tips on how to reduce this feeling of heaviness and make summer more bearable. Plus, by reducing swelling, you’ll also look and feel better:

-Eat flavenoid-rich foods, vitamin E and vitamin C (grapes, fresh-squeezed orange and lemon juice, blueberries, strawberries, apples, plums).

-Drink water. 1.5 liters a day are recommended.

-Avoid saturated fats and fried foods.

-Reduce the salt and sugar in foods.

-Avoid alcohol and smoking.

-When you get home, sit or lie down with your legs elevated. This facilitates circulation, allowing the legs to decongest.

-When sitting, avoid crossing your legs.

-It is advisable to get some type of regular physical exercise, play sports or walk for a while every day.

-Refresh and decongest the legs with cold showers. If this can be with salt water, even better.

-If you like to wear heels, alternate them with flats, since high heels cause congestion and favor the appearance of varicose veins.
